Session Fees

Transparent Pricing

There will never be any surprises when it comes to the cost of your therapy. Prices are communicated up front, as well as my policy on fees for missed or late-canceled sessions (check out my FAQ page to learn more about that policy). I will always notify you through electronic communication ahead of time if and when my rates change.

No Surprises Act

As of January 1st, 2022 and under the No Surprises Act, state-licensed and/or certified healthcare providers are required to provide a “Good Faith Estimate” of healthcare charges to every new and continuing client who is either uninsured or is not planning to submit claims to their insurance for the healthcare services they seek.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost, when you find and hire a therapist.
  • Under this the law, healthcare providers are required to provide clients who do not have insurance of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy and mental health services. You have the right to request and receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of non-emergency healthcare services. You may ask your healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. Ensure that you find a therapist who is honest and transparent.
  • If you end up receiving a bill that is at least $400.00 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill by first contacting the healthcare provider or the facility to let them know the billed charges are higher than the GFE and request the business to update the bill to match the GFE. If you need more information or you wish to start a dispute process with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) please visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
